BRECON BEACONS, VIEW 1

This is one of three views we have for you to enjoy of the Brecon Beacons. The Beacons are the three peaks, Pen-Y-Fan, Corn Du and Cribyn, which dominate the central area of the Brecon Beacons National Park, and Pen-Y-Fan is also the highest point in southern Britain. Travelling regularly, as I do, into Brecon from Llandovery, I am frequently treated to stunning views of the Beacons. I can vouch for the fact that these magnificent mountains do not present the same face to the world two days running. Some times they are moody and mysterious, their lofty heads hooded by white swirling mist or black rain-laden cloud, whilst on other days the sunlit clarity of every distant line and shadow is breathtaking.
